Throwback Thursday #16

Throwback Thursday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by me and Stephanie @Bookfever where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for. Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!

My pick this week:

The Spooks Apprentice by Joseph Delaney
(also known as: Revenge of the Witch (The Last Apprentice / Wardstone Chronicles #1))

The Spook's Apprentice is the first book in Joseph Delaney's terrifying Wardstone Chronicles - over 3 million copies sold worldwide!
'Someone has to stand against the dark. And you're the only one who can.'
For years, the local Spook has been keeping the County safe from evil. Now his time is coming to an end, but who will take over? Many apprentices have tried . . . Some floundered, some fled, some failed to stay alive. Just one boy is left. Thomas Ward. He is the last hope. But does he stand a chance against Mother Malkin, the most dangerous witch in the County?
From the series that inspired the forthcoming movie Seventh Son, starring Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes and Julianne Moore.

I can't believe I didn't think of this book sooner! My friend got me to read it, she had seen the edition of the book where all it says on the back is: "Don't read after dark" or something like that. She read it and loved it and after that got me to read it as well. I was hooked! It's really good and really do not read this thing after dark. There's some scary things in there, but it's great.
I know the movie will be different from the book, but still I can't wait to see it.

Quote:

How can you be lonely? You've got yourself, haven't you? If you ever lose yourself, then you'll really be lonely..."

Question of the week:

Take a picture of your current read or the latest book you got by the christmas tree

Well if I put it under the tree it wouldn't be seen so put it in the tree instead.

The big green one is my mom's since I'm here for christmas. My own is small and white, but I love it ^^

How about you?
Answer in the comment section!
