The better to bite by Cynthia Eden.  Don’t go into the woods. Sixteen-year-old Anna Lambert knows that the woods near her new home aren’t safe. She’s seen the wolves that stalk through that dark forest, but Anna doesn’t scare easily. Anna is cursed–or gifted, depending on how you look at it–with the ability to find anyone or anything that is lost. So when folks start disappearing in the small town of Haven, Anna’s father, the sheriff, has to use her special skills as they begin to hunt for a killer. But the killer isn’t exactly human. As Anna is pulled deeper into the secrets of Haven–a town that is truly cursed–she finds herself falling for two, equally mysterious boys. With the danger closing in, one of those boys may just turn out to be her savior. And the other? He could be a very big, very bad…beast. Beware of beasts…and boys…with bite. Author’s Note: THE BETTER TO BITE is a young adult paranormal romance containing 64,000 words. The story contains werewolves, murders,

Review: "Dark Lover"

Image
Dark lover by J. R Ward. In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there's a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There exists a secret band of brothers like no other-six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Yet none of them relishes killing more than Wrath, the leader of The Black Dagger Brotherhood.   The only purebred vampire left on earth, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But, when one of his most trusted fighters is killed-leaving his half-breed daughter unaware of his existence or her fate-Wrath must usher her into the world of the undead-a world of sensuality beyond her wildest dreams. My rating:  So.... I loved the storyline of this book and everything, but... there were parts that were hard for me because I hate, hate, hate changing POV. And it kept happening and there are books where I can deal with it because it actually makes sense and it's characters th

Review: "Wild"

Image
Wild by Aprilynne Pike.  "I don't do patrols, I don't go hunting, I just stick close to you. You live your life. I'll keep you safe," Tamani said, sweeping a lock of hair from her face. "Or die trying." Laurel hasn't seen Tamani since she begged him to let her go last year. Though her heart still aches, Laurel is confident that David was the right choice. But just as life is returning to normal, Laurel discovers that a hidden enemy lies in wait. Once again, Laurel must turn to Tamani to protect and guide her, for the danger that now threatens Avalon is one that no faerie thought would ever be possible. And for the first time, Laurel cannot be sure that her side will prevail.  My rating:  I'm really really behind on my reviews and have now collected six that I still haven't done. So it has been a while since I read so that means it won't be very long at all just me going awww, I loved it. Of course.  Like the other

Review: "Fifty Shades of Grey"

Image
Review of Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James.  When literature student Anastasia Steele is drafted to interview the successful young entrepreneur Christian Grey for her campus magazine, she finds him attractive, enigmatic and intimidating. Convinced their meeting went badly, she tries to put Grey out of her mind - until he happens to turn up at the out-of-town hardware store where she works part-time.  The unworldly, innocent Ana is shocked to realize she wants this man, and when he warns her to keep her distance it only makes her more desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her - but on his own terms.  Shocked yet thrilled by Grey's singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success – his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving adoptive family – Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a passionate, physic

Review: "City of Lost Souls"

Image
My rating: So my rating is pretty obvious, of course I loved it! It's The Mortal Instrument and Cassandra Clare! It's Jace and Clary, Malec, Simon and all the other Shadowhunters and downworlders! I wanna keep this review spoiler free since most have only just gotten their copy of COLS so don't wanna give too much away. There are gonna be some small things, but nothing major will be revealed.  So, we start of, as with most Cassandra Clare books, with  a poem. No man choosesevil because it is evil. He only mistakes it for happiness, the good he seeks. - Mary Wollstonecraft.  Reading this again after having read the book, I can't say anything but that it is perfect! It really fits. There is so many times where Clary looks at Jace while he is bound to Sebastian aka Sathan (Sebastian and Jonathan together) and think to herself if he is happy like he is. He looks happy and acts happy. She has no way of knowing if it's because of the bond with Se

So yesterday I was at the movies, to the premiere of The Hunger Games here in Denmark. So happy we already got the movie here on 21/3 ! ;D  I so loved the movie! Really great! I think they stayed true to the book, of course there were some changes, but that can never be avoided whether it's big chances or the small ones.

Cover crazy #5

Cover crazy is a weekly meme hosted by The Book Worms. Our chance to go crazy and admire all the beautiful cover out there.  This week I've chosen:  The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.  The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called  Le Cirque des Rêves , and it is only open at night.  But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway—a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. Despite themselves, however, Celia and Marco tumble headfirst into love—a deep, magical love that makes the lights flicker and the room grow warm whe
