Review "Bloodfever"

Image
Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning I used to be your average, everyday girl but all that changed one night in Dublin when I saw my first Fae, and got dragged into a world of deadly immortals and ancient secrets... In her fight to stay alive, MacKayla must find the Sinsar Dubh—a million-year-old book of the blackest magic imaginable, which holds the key to power over the worlds of both the Fae and Man. Pursued by assassins, surrounded by mysterious figures she knows she can’t trust, Mac finds herself torn between two deadly and powerful men: V’lane, the immortal Fae Prince, and Jericho Barrons, a man as irresistible as he is dangerous. For centuries the shadowy realm of the Fae has coexisted with that of humans. Now the walls between the two are coming down, and Mac is the only thing that stands between them. My rating:  Once again a great book!  This next book doesn't answer any questions about what the hell Barrons is! And I won't lie, I am so freak...

Throwback Thursday #6

Throwback Thursday  is a weekly bookish meme hosted by me and Stephanie @ Bookfever  where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for. Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!     My pick this week:  Me - a teenager by Lena Elistrup.  This week I went with a danish book because it's seriously the book I remember really really enjoying. It was so funny! and this is one is all #3 in one so the book was huge, but that didn't matter.  It's basically a girl and her life as a teenager and what I clearly remember is the way she wrote her mail and diary.  Quote:  (Again this week. Sorry, no Quote.)  Question of the week:  If you were given a free airline ticket with a destination of your own choice, where ...

Woods Wednesday #11

Image
Woods wednesday is in dedication to a story me and Stephanie from  Bookfever   have going on Goodreads. I am currently editing the story and to make that move faster I have decided to start Woods wednesday. It will mean that every wednesday I will share a picture, collage, maybe even a little teaser from some of the previous added chapters or maybe even some from the part that we are currently working on. It could also be a characters bio, an interview with one or one of the many facts about Geoff Woods. And of course also add a new chapter (hence making it move faster) to Goodreads every wednesday. This week I once again have an interview with none other than our Geoff Woods! This time it's our friend Jenn doing this great interview with Geoff. Enjoy ^^  * Jenn  *Geoff 1. If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who  would it be? Terry. So he would be able to see Claire and his little girl. 2. In three words, how would you describ...

In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the  New York Times  bestselling Mortal Instruments series. The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon disc...

Let's have some more facts about Geoff Woods: 10. He growls when Krysta calls him Geoffrey because he thinks it's hot.  11. His name is awesome. Geoffrey Forrest Woods.  12. His son Aedan looks like him.  And other than that I have this picture to share:    You can check out the story on Goodreads  here (New chapter every w...

Teaser Tuesday Sept. 17th

Teaser Tuesdays  is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of  Should Be Reading . Anyone can play along! Just do the following: •  Grab your current read •  Open to a random page •  Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page •  BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!  (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) •  Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! My teaser:  A smell as damp and thick as breathing dirt came to him. He sneezed a few times, striding through a wide corridor toward the source of light at the end.  Page. 236  of: Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi Since she'd been on the outside, she'd survived an Aether storm, she'd had a knife held to her throat, and she'd seen men murdered. This was worse. Exiled f...

Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer! My pick this week:  When "Wacko Watkins" assigns the class a writing project about themselves, Lucy Lovering is not optimistic. Her parents are health food–loving hippies, her best friend, Izzie, has become buds with the knockout Nesta, and she just doesn't match up to either of them (especially in the chest region). What's a girl to do when her two friends can pass for older and she's stuck looking like a 12-year-old? But when Lucy spots the boy of her dreams and goes on a serious hunk hunt, she soon discovers that Mr. Right is closer than she thinks -- ...

Today I am very excited for Woods Wednesday since me and Steph had our friend Emilie do a interview. We thought that Criss and her would get along very well so we chose him to her. So here it is:  *Emilie *Criss  Hello, Criss! Thank you for taking your time with me today. I'm very honored! No problem, gorgeous. *winks* Any friend of Christina's and St...
