Throwback Thursday #34

Throwback Thursday is a bookish meme hosted every two weeks by me and Stephanie @Bookfever where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for. Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!

My pick this week:
Torn by Amanda Hocking

Acknowledging that she was different from everyone else wasn't difficult for Wendy, she'd always felt like an outsider. But a new world and family is a little hard for any girl to accept. Leaving behind the country of her birth, she is determined to fit back into normal life. But the world she's left won't let her go that easily.

Such a great book. I think one of the things that I really loved were that things really didn't turn out the way you thought they would.
Amazing series, really.

Quote:
“Oh yeah. That's why. Like a fairy tale. I was marrying the Prince. I just happened to be in love with the pauper.”

Question of the week:

Last book you bought at a bookstore?

It's been forever since I've gone to a bookstore and gotten a book. There's only one place that actually have english books and they're actually really good at having some good choices, but as it is with bookstores the price is higher than online so often I end up just getting it online.
I do plan on buying some books there when I can because I really wanna support them for having these books.
Last book I got were Wild by Aprilynne Pike.
The whole series is bought at the bookstore and I plan on soon getting the last one from there.

How about you?
Answer in the comment section! If you'd like to participate in Throwback Thursday you can add your post to the linky below. Feel free to add a favorite quote of the book you're spotlighting as well in your post. :)

Next Throwback Thursday question for October 9th:

Most intimidating book you've read?

Comments

  1. Torn seems forever ago. I remember they had books with the leaves in different colors, right? So fun!

I never liked the title Wild for the 3rd Wings book. Like, what was "wild" about it? I prefer the other title Illusions for it. =)
