Review - the Bite Before Christmas

the Bite Before Christmas by Lynsay Sands and Jeaniene Frost.

In Lynsay Sands' "The Gift," Katricia Argeneau knows grey-eyed cop Teddy Brunswick is her life mate. She just needs to convince him they belong together, and being snowbound in a secluded cabin will make this a Christmas neither will forget.

It's "Home for the Holidays" in Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. Cat and Bones may long to wrap presents and set up a tree, but this Christmas, an evil vampire and long-buried family secrets will threaten to take a bite out of their holiday cheer

My rating is pretty much based on the Jeaniene Frost story in the book. The other story could be read, but I think to really understand what exactly is going on and everything, you gotta have read other stories by Lynsay Sands.

The first story was a bit weird and for some reason I got the werewolf feel out of it until I later found out it was vampires we were dealing with here. Anyways it is a guy, Teddy who goes to this cabin place to get away for the holiday since he do not want be invited over to anybody else's house out of pity because he lives alone and does not really have any family. Out there he meets Katricia and as it turns out they are lifemates. Now Teddy knows everything about Katricia and her kind so therefore it comes as no surprise to him. It ends up with that she has to turn him because they were attacked by a bear and for him to survive she has to turn him. And they lived happily ever after, I guess.
This story wouldn't be so weird if the guy wasn't like in his 60's or something like that, but yeah it wasn't a bad read, but like I said you gotta have read the other books to get what exactly it is all about.

Now the next one, much better!
Starts out with Cat throwing Bones a surprise party for his birthday, so Bones is showered with confetti and what not as he walks in the door.
But! This happy note does not last long as Anette does not show and when Ian calls them to say that her entire hotel room is covered in blood they of course have to hurry there and see what is going on.
Anette is fine, but will not say what happened to her. Later that night they find *drumroll* Bones brother!  *gasps*
Buuut as it turns out his brother is possessed and this demon is able to split and also possess all the other except Cat and Denise and also Ian cause he did not fall for it. So now they have to work together to un-possess them I suppose.
Turns out to be very fun, mostly because I just love love love Ian! He makes it all better and the end makes me love him even more. Anyways, they catch Bones and keep him locked up and Ian and Cat kind of grope eachother to get the real Bones out, and have him control his own body.
Anyways they get help from another demon how to get the demon out of them all, but this means that Bones' brother have to die :(
It is not all bad though, because as it turns out - Ian, of all people, is related to Bones! :D
So Bones did get to spend Christmas with a family member among them.
A merry christmas to them  !

This is probably a book I will be reading every christmas to bring out the christmas spirit
