Introducing: Throwback Thursday! #1
Throwback Thursday is a weekly bookish mem hosted by me and Stehanie @ Bookfever where we feature books that we've read in the past, but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for.
Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!
If you would like to participate you ca add your post to the linky below. Feel free to add a favorite quote of the book you're spotlighting as well.
So excited for this meme! There's some other blogs also doing Throwback Thursdays, but either they weren't really posting anymore or aren't only books so we decided to make a Throwback Thursday that will be posted every week and only will feature books plus the question of the week.
So for my first Throwback Thursday I decided to go with a book that's not really thát old or anything, but I still love the book today.
Halfway to the grave (Night Huntress #1) by Jeaniene Frost
Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, aiming for the father who ruined her mother. Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, captures Cat, and agrees to train her until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. But a group of killers pursue them. Bones is as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.
My rating:
I still remember, actually Stephanie @ Bookfever telling me about Night huntress series and how good they were. So after a while I finally had them ordered and I don't think I've ever read a book as fast as I read these. For sure one of my favorite series of all time! The first book was really amazing. I loved every single part of it. Jeaniene Frost's writing is amazing and the main character Cat is badass and she's still one of my favorite heroines. Then there's Bones and he's definitely one of my favorite characters ever with his blimey kitten and his other english phrases that I love.
Overall this book and the series for that matter is just amazing and a must read!
Quote (or quotes in this case. Had to have a Bones & Cat one):
“Lucifer's bouncing balls, Kitten, not again!”
“I'm saying that I'm a moody, insecure, narrow-minded, jealous, borderline homicidal bitch, and I want you to promise me that you're okay with that, because it's who I am, and you're what I need.”
Question of this week:
What is your favorite drink while reading?
How about you?
