Blog tour! Fan Girl by Brandace Morrow: Review & teasers

Fan Girl by Brandace Morrow

Little more than a girl when Ali meets him, his voice resonates with her in a time when she needs it most. As an adult, Deklan has the potential to devastate her.
Deklan Thomas catches Ali Pierce's attention at a young age. Not that he notices. His band Rolling Bridges provides Ali the escape she desperately needs from her home life. Music. It's during this journey that she is confronted with what she has attempted to suppress all along. Her discontent with herself.
Refusing to settle for mediocrity, Ali sets off on a mission. Moving to the Big Apple, she gains a new outlook on life, a snarky online friend, a college degree, and a unique internship others would kill to have.
Though she grows leaps and bounds, her first love remains the same. Nothing can keep her from the music—music that will lead her down a road of passion and predicament that even the new Ali is unsure she can handle.
Is Deklan ready to give up his rocker lifestyle? And does Ali really want to be put in the spotlight after so many years in the shadows?

My rating:

What an amazing book! I completely lost myself in it and got completely invested with the lives of Ali and Deklan.

When we first meet Ali she isn't that old, already here she feels connected to Deklan when she first hears him sing. Ali notices him, but he barely know that she's there, there for every performance of his band, Rolling Bridges, right from the start.
After realizing how unhappy she is with herself, she deicides on a new start. She moves to New york and start a whole new life for herself. Eating healthy, a new internship and a college degree.
Despite all the changes in her  life, she continues to follow Rolling Bridges and Deklan.
After a crazy night on new years eve everything is changed.

I loved this book. It was simply amazing. You followed the journey that Ali and I loved that we get the whole story right from the beginning instead of this starting somewhere in the middle and getting some glimpses back as we go on. No, this starts from the beginning, you see how Ali, well becomes the fan girl and how it goes for her the following years. You see her struggle with her homelife and go through all that only to turn her life completely around for the better. Ali is a very relateable character and therefore it was easy to follow her point of view. Haven't every girl had that be it actor or rockstar that we were completely lost in, to Ali that's Deklan and her story, it's every girls dream.
Then there's Deklan. If you love rockstars, you'll love him just as much. At first we don't get that much of him and don't really know all that much about him, but of course later on there's much more and you'll only love him more. Fame hasn't changed him for the worse at all.
I can't tell you enough how much I loved this book. It's just the kind of book I've been looking for, it had everything I wanted. Romance, sexy scenes, drama, story of finding yourself and so much more. Simply amazing! A book I would definitely recommend.

It's a well written story with amazing characters that you'll love and can't get enought of. I had a hard time putting the book.
 A fantastic debut novel!
