 My rating:

Since this will be a review of the full anthology the review will not contain any spoilers.

Lore consists of six short stories written by six different authors all of them based retellings of folklore.
The first story is called "Shimmer" writeen by Brinda Berry and is about a mermaid who gets rescued by a guy who happens to be at the right place at the right time.
Next one is "Between" by Karen Y. Bynum about a girl getting three wishes from a genie and finding her way.
"Sunset moon" is the third story and written by Laura Diamond, it's about Eloise who doesn't want to believe anything from her native american heritage, but ends up having to change her way.
"The maker" is by Jayne A. Knolls about a man who builds a creature to act out his revenge.
"A beautiful mourning" by Theresa DaLayne about a Maya goddess torn between her love for  Kinich and her duty to marry Nacon as promised by her father.
Lastly there's "the Barricades" by Cate Dean about a human girl who saves the life of an eternal prince.

Overall I really liked this book. I loved seeing these stories retold and see the different authors views on the different stories.
I also liked that before each story there was a little introduction so the reader would know exactly what myth or legend were being re-told.
I pretty much liked all the stories, some more than others which can be expected when there's six different authors who each has their own writing style and some stories just spoke to me more than others. Some had me yearning for more while another ended just the way I wanted it to.
The book as a whole were good. All writing styles different, but all well written. A fun and interesting read.
