Throwback Thursday #32

Throwback Thursday is a bookish meme hosted every two weeks by me and Stephanie @Bookfever where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for. Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!

My pick this week:

Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz

When the Mayflower set sail in 1620, it carried on board the men and women who would shape America: Miles Standish; John Alden; Constance Hopkins. But some among the Pilgrims were not pure of heart; they were not escaping religious persecution. Indeed, they were not even human. They were vampires. The vampires assimilated quickly into the New World. Rising to levels of enormous power, wealth, and influence, they were the celebrated blue bloods of American society.
The Blue Bloods vowed that their immortal status would remain a closely guarded secret. And they kept that secret for centuries. But now, in New York City, the secret is seeping out. Schuyler Van Alen is a sophomore at a prestigious private school. She prefers baggy, vintage clothes instead of the Prada and pearls worn by her classmates, and she lives with her reclusive grandmother in a dilapated mansion. Schuyler is a loner...and happy that way. Suddenly, when she turns fifteen, there is a visible mosaic of blue veins on her arm. She starts to crave raw food and she is having flashbacks to ancient times. Then a popular girl from her school is found dead... drained of all her blood. Schuyler doesn't know what to think, but she wants to find out the secrets the Blue Bloods are keeping. But is she herself in danger?

Actually among one of the first books I got.. reason, they were at the bookstore and Stephanie told me about it as well so I thought why not. Honestly I don't remember too much about what actually happened in it and if it's ever gonna be continued I'd have to do a re-read that's for sure.

Question of the week:

Last e-book you read and loved?

Well I kind of wanna cheat and say Twisted Together by Pepper Winters that I'm reading right now, but I'm not done and yet I love it. But okay most recently I did a blog tour for One Wild Night by Kirsty Moseley and it was hilarious! Short book, but filled with lots of fun!

How about you?

  1. Wow. Blue Bloods... It was so long ago. I think I read it in 2011 close to when I joined Goodreads. xD
