Throwback Thursday #11

Throwback Thursday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by me and Stephanie @Bookfever where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for. Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!

  My pick this week:

What if your entire world was built on a lie?
Wendy Everly knew she was different the day her mother tried to kill her and accused her of having been switched at birth. Although certain she’s not the monster her mother claims she is – she does feel that she doesn’t quite fit in...
She’s bored and frustrated by her small town life – and then there’s the secret that she can’t tell anyone. Her mysterious ability – she can influence people’s decisions, without knowing how, or why...
When the intense and darkly handsome newcomer Finn suddenly turns up at her bedroom window one night – her world is turned upside down. He holds the key to her past, the answers to her strange powers and is the doorway to a place she never imagined could exist. Förening, the home of the Trylle.
Finally everything makes sense. Among the Trylle, Wendy is not just different, but special. But what marks her out as chosen for greatness in this world also places her in grave danger. With everything around her changing, Finn is the only person she can trust. But dark forces are conspiring – not only to separate them, but to see the downfall everything that Wendy cares about.
The fate of Förening rests in Wendy’s hands, and the decisions she and Finn make could change all their lives forever...

Really anjoyed this book. Been a while since I read it, but I really liked the originality of the story. Really feel like I should read it again now or something haha :P but yeah great book!

Quote:

“Did you think you could treat me like shit at a dance, then sneak into my room in the middle of the night and tell me that I'm a troll with magical powers, and I'd just be like, yeah, that sounds right.”

Question of the week:

What is your favorite season?

Winter actually. I love the cold and when Christmas comes around it just gets even better with the lights and everything is so cosy. Yeah I can get just as annoyed over the snow as anyone else especially since I am very good at falling, but still love. Fall and Spring are pretty great, too and summer I can stand for a week before I want it to be cold again.

How about you?
