Throwback Thursday #12
Throwback Thursday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by me and Stephanie @Bookfever where we feature books that we've read in the past but are still crazy about. It could be a book you read as a child and still remember and love or maybe just a book that you haven't read in a long time and want to show your love for. Each week we'll be featuring a new random question to answer!
My pick this week:
Out for blood by Alyxandra Harvey
Hunter Wild is the youngest in a long line of elite vampire hunters, a legacy that is both a blessing and a curse at the secret Helios-Ra Academy, where she excels at just about everything. Thanks to her friendship with Kieran Black, Hunter receives a special invitation to attend the coronation of Helena Drake, and for the first time, she sees the difference between vampires that must be hunted and vampires that can become friends—or even more. When students at the academy fall victim to a mysterious illness, Hunter suspects they are under attack from within. She will need someone she can trust to help her save the future of Helios-Ra . . . help that shockingly comes in the form of Quinn Drake, a drop-dead gorgeous vampire. Who said senior year would be easy?
Somehow this was like an impulse buy. Stephanie was talking about it and I just got it not even caring that it was the #3 in a series, but that didn't matter it was still awesome and I loved every part of it ^^ It wasn't hard to get into what was happening and so it didn't even matter that I haven't read the other 2 books.
Quote:
“Hey, get off my sister,” Kieran barked from the other side.
“Get lost, Black,” I called out. “And she’s not your sister.”
“May as well be.”
“Well, you stop kissing Solange and I’ll stop kissing Hunter.”
Silence.“Get lost, Black,” I called out. “And she’s not your sister.”“May as well be.”“Well, you stop kissing Solange and I’ll stop kissing Hunter.”Silence.
I almost want to read the book again after this, haha.
Question of the week:
How many books do you have on your e-reader?
I don't have any e-reader, but I do have kindle on my pc and there's 1680 books on that. So plenty to choose from.
How about you?
Answer in the comment section!
If you'd like to participate in Throwback Thursday you can add your post to the linky below. Feel free to add a favorite quote of the book you're spotlighting as well in your post. :)
Well, hello Booksbane. lol. I couldn't help myself! xD
ReplyDeleteIt's Drake Chronicles day in TT, huh. :D
And yes, even though it's #3 in the series you don't really have to have read the other two. And Quinn is a plus. ^_^
I knew you were gonna pick that quote. I knew it!
