Review: "Girl on Tour"

Girl on Tour by Caisey Quinn

An up and comer trying to make a name for herself...

Kylie never expected to be stuck on a tour bus with a pampered princess and her boyfriend's ex.

A troubled artist struggling to hold onto his career...

Trace thought he was finally getting to do things his way. Until the label added co-headliner Gretchen Gibson, the only person in country music with more issues than him, to his No Apologies tour.

Surrounded by tabloid rumors and people they can't trust, Kylie and Trace need each other more than ever. But the choices they make will change everything.

Because chasing your dreams and following your heart don't always lead you to the same place...

My rating:
*4.5 stars!*
*Only minor spoilers*

Another wonderful read from Caisey Quinn about Kylie Ryans.

In the second book of Kylie Ryans Kylie is going on tour along with 2 others, Lily and Mia. Lily is 16 years old all full of life and then there's Mia which is not Kylie's favorite person and Kylie is not Mia's. All in all, not great to be stuck on a bus with.
Trace is trying to stop his drinking and finally think he can get to do what he wants with his music, but the label adds a co-liner to his tour and he has to be on the road with Gretchen Gibson who is pretty much the female version of him. She drinks and doesn't give a damn and only just make it to her shows.
Kylie and Trace are away from eachother so they have to settle for Skype and talk on the phone and with both of them being in the spotlight it's not easy with all of the rumors going around.

Like the first book I couldn't put this one down. There was always something new that happened that I had to see the end of. I loved to see the characters devolop. Both Kylie and Trace had to grow. Trace had to face his drinking addiction and Kylie are still struggling to really start her career and also grow. While Mia could be really a pain in the butt her Kylie's moments were really hilarious and it also kept you wondering, what exactly happened to make Mia act that way. Lily was just adorable. A very fun character. And Gretchen, yeah like I said, female version of Trace in the first book.
Trace is just as droolworthy in the second book as in the first,

“Hmm, he was a god in the kitchen and a devil in the bedroom. How did I get so lucky?”

I love him and Kylie as a couple.
The only thing that I can "complain" about was that I knew it was gonna go wrong for Kylie and Trace. I knew that as soon as she came on tour at some point it would go wrong and they would break up or something. Predictable, but understandable. I felt like at that moment it was the right thing.

Truly another amazing book and even more so because it's the second and it was basically just as amazing as the first book. The characters grew as the book moved along and there were no boring parts. The writing were fantastic, again, as in the first book.

“You know that feeling, when you’ve had the worst day of your life and it seems like the universe is out to get you? And then you get home and as soon as you walk through the door it’s like you’re shutting all of that out? The heavens smile on you and you get all cozy in the tub or bed or whatever and all that bad stuff just melts away? ‘Cause you’re in your safe place?”

For the first time since she'd started chasing this dream, it was starting to feel like she might have actually caught it. and low and behold, miracle of all miracles, she had someone to share it with.
