Re-readathon: Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead chapter#7

To keep up with our goal of re-reading more of our favorite books this year and re-discover them we created this challenge for ourselves to help accomplish that goal. We will be reading one chapter each day and also doing a blog post about the chapter, going into detail about each chapter in the book. We decided to start our re-read with Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
Co-hosted by Stephanie @ Bookfever & me!

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger...

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

Chapter 7:
First sentence:
A couple weeks passed after that, and I soon forgot about the Anna thing as life at the academy wrapped around me.

This chapter was so great! More Rose and Dimitri training, yay! I love it.
Lissa and Rose have now settled into life back at the Academy, Rose trains a lot with Dimitri and we got a little taste of one of their training days. However at the end of the chapter is the dead fox in Lissa's bed. And let the drama begin!

(sorry short one and late..)

Quote:

"Whoa, Dimitri," I said, tossing my bag on the floor. "I realize this is actually a current hit in Eastern Europe right now, but do you think we could maybe listen to something that wasn't recorded before I was born?"Only his eyes flicked toward me; the rest of his posture remained the same. "What does it matter to you? I'm the one who's going to be listening to it. You'll be outside running."

  1. Hello again! I thought this was a great chapter. I enjoyed the development of Rose & Dimitri's relationship and the way that Dimitri has learnt to handle Rose so quickly. The Fox part was totally gross but as we know - much it yet to come!
